These shots were taken between Thursday, September 23rd and Friday, October 8th and focus on two of the three main cities in New Zealand's South Island, Christchurch and Queenstown.
Cathedral Square+

Located in Christchurch, the largest city (300,000) in the South Island, Cathedral Square is pretty much the center of town in both physical proximity and goings on. The Christ Church Cathedral is a work of art and much of the city's architecture mimics it. I stayed in a hostel pictured just left of the Cathedral. See it?
And a River Runs Through it+

As with any good city, a river (the Avon) runs through Christchurch. Since it's a fairly compact city, barhopping is easy except for the fact that the river decided to snake through the center of town, crossing your path every chance it could. Little bridges like this one saved me after treacherous nights at Dux de Lux, a local craft brewery.
Botanic Gardens+

Again, as with any good city, Christchurch has a cool park to hang out and people watch in. To be honest, the Botanic Gardens here was one of the best I've seen. Beautiful flowers, riverside trails, lots of wildlife. Oh yeah, and a fountain.
Queenstown Gondola+

Queenstown, New Zealand is located on the shores of Lake Wakatipu and as the view from the gondola shows, it is a site to see. Its population of 5700 makes it sound small, but it really isn't since it is the resort town of the South Island and practically every tourist stops here. That makes it sound bad, but it isn't. There are a million things going on and the restaurants and nightlife were kick ass.
The Remarkables+

Not only is Queenstown located on the shores of a cool lake, it's also surrounded by majestic mountains. The Remarkables are appropriately named, especially dusted with snow at sunset. Unreal.
