The following pictures were taken between June 17th and June 19th during our three day stopover in Adelaide, South Australia. In lieu of being too profound, I'd describe Adelaide as a beautiful, clean, horizontal city with nice architecture and lots of churches and pubs.

Some Naked Goddess+

During the northern portion of self-guided walking tour of the city, I came upon a row of statues. This one was naked, so I took a picture.

Library+

Adelaide has a lot of old stone buildings, similar to this library. (I told you I wasn't going to be profound.)

Big Ben+

This shot shows how Adelaide's skyline combines both it's old stone buildings and new skyscrapers.

No, Not Parliament+

I thought that this building was very ornate and looked a lot like the Beaumont Tower in East Lansing (Go State!). This picture gives you a good feel for how wide the streets are in downtown Adelaide. This wideness, coupled with the lack of towering buildings, makes the whole downtown area feel welcoming.

Extra! Extra!+

This is a newsagency just outside Adelaide's post office. Newsagencies are where you go to pick up transit passes, books, magazines and stationary.

Y2Chaos?+

Australia will be one of the first countries to suffer the wrath of, er, welcome in the year 2000. Time will tell.
