The following pictures were taken on Monday, May 17th from Coogee Beach. The beach is a five minute walk from my apartment and is about 300 yards long and 75 yards wide. These shots should give you a pretty good feel for what I look at from the beach every day.
Coogee Beach+

Coogee Beach. Some locals say it's the nicest beach on the coast. Can't say I'd argue with them.
Wedding Cake Island+

Wedding Cake Island is a sight to see when looking out into the Tasman Sea from Coogee Beach. When the water is rough, the island is constantly slammed with surf making it look like it's covered with icing.
Looking Northeast from Coogee Beach+

Looking northeast from the beach, a defunct bath house sits on one of the many cliff's in Coogee that overlook the Tasman Sea.
Looking South from Coogee Beach+

Looking south, a few smaller hotels dot the beaches' perimeter. There are no large hotel chains in Coogee (not counting Holiday Inn...), which keeps it less touristy than the more travelled beaches of Bondi.
Picnic Point+

Looking southeast from the beach, yet another cliff overlooks the Tasman sea. Many travellers, backpackers and Coogee residents alike enjoy picnics from this vantage point.
Looking West from Coogee Beach+

Looking west from the beach is the beginnings of downtown Coogee. Long ago, an eyesore of a pier used to occupy this very space.
Picturesque+

A little something for your desktop wallpaper. Looking east again from the beach with Wedding Cake Island in the background.
Jonathon Livingston Seagull+

No matter where you go, there they are... feathered rats.
