Home > Photos > Sydney, Australia: Cliff Walk

The following pictures were taken on Wednesday, May 12th during what's been labeled the "Cliff Walk". Basically, it's about a 10km walk (all told) along the cliffs on the east coast of Sydney from Maroubra (a suburb just south of where I live in Coogee) to Bondi (a suburb just north). I picked up the path from Coogee and headed north along it to Bronte and this is some of what I saw.

Gordon's Bay+

Gordon's Bay has an underwater nature trail that you can follow while scuba diving or snorkeling.

Looking South+

After walking North on the Cliff Walk for about 10 minutes from my front door, this is what I saw when I turned around and looked south. Jealous?

Point Break+

It's not Point Break, but it's pretty cool anyway, huh?

On Edge+

Since I haven't had but a cup of coffee since I've been here, was I thinking of jumping? No - but the view was nice anyway.

Meet Me at the Cemetary Gates+

Had I jumped off of the cliff, maybe they'd of buried me here? Waverly Cemetary sits along the cliff walk and has a fantastic view of the ocean.

Looking North+

After walking north on the Cliff Walk for about 20 minutes from my front door, this is what I saw ahead of me...

Looking South Again+

...and this is what I saw behind me. Amazing, huh?

Bronte Beach+

Bronte Beach is where I ended up stopping along the cliff walk for a picnic. The Cliff Walk continues north to Bondi Beach, which I didn't get to. Next time...
